OMAHA (DTN) -- Here are the Top 5 things the DTN Newsroom is tracking for the week of July 5. Watch for coverage of these and other topics throughout the week on our subscription platforms as well as on www.DTNPF.com.

1. WASDE Friday: Hot on the heels of the June 30 Grain Stocks report, we'll have the July WASDE on Friday. DTN coverage starts immediately after the 11 a.m. report release, with updates and analysis throughout the morning. At 12:30 p.m. we have our Rhett's Reaction webinar, with comments by DTN Lead Analyst Rhett Montgomery. 2. Crop condition: We'll be paying close attention to crop reports following the first real heat of summer. The next USDA Crop Progress report is Monday afternoon.

3. Weather eases, but it is still July. Speaking of summer weather, DTN forecasts call for some easing of temperatures and humidity compared to the heat dome of the previous week. But easing is a relative term, it is still summer after all.

4. Trade fronts: Of course we're still watching for ramifications of things in the Strait of Hormuz, the recent news on the USMCA, and changing trade rules on fertilizers and herbicides.

5. Reports due this week: Monday at 8:45 a.m., U.S. Services PMI followed at 9 a.m. by ISM Business Services PMI and Global Services PMI and Grain Inspections at 10 a.m. At 3 p.m., Crop Progress. Tuesday at 7:30 a.m. we'll see latest Trade Balance data. Wednesday at 9 a.m., Monthly Wholesale Trade. At 2 p.m., Consumer Credit, and at 2 p.m., Broiler Hatchery. Thursday at 7:30 a.m., Grain Export Sales, Initial Jobless Claims. At 9 a.m., Existing Home Sales. At 10:30 a.m., Weekly Economic Index. At 2 p.m., Slaughter Weekly. Friday at 11 a.m., USDA Crop Production and July WASDE report. At 2:30 p.m., the CFTC's Commitment of Traders report.
